The dry season, from April to November, offers ideal conditions: mild temperatures, clear skies and fully accessible trails. The green season brings lush vegetation and fewer visitors.

Getting there

Isalo is located near Ranohira on the RN7 highway. It fits naturally into classic road trips from Antananarivo via Antsirabe, Fianarantsoa and Ranomafana towards Toliara.

Recommended stay

A full day covers the highlights. Two to three days allow for a deeper exploration of the different canyons, pools and hiking trails throughout the park.
